Agree we should stay out, but we already declared economic war on Russia and are in the process of destroying the Russian economy and currency. I expect a Russian response in the form of asymmetric warfare.
When the Soviets put down the Hungarian uprising in 1956, Eisenhower wisely stayed out. No sending of weapons to the insurgents. No overt attempt to destroy the Soviet economy.
With actions like this, and ESG (environmental social governance) , and Trudeau's unwarranted bank closures, and GoFund/GoSend/me cancellations the Russian currency won't be the only casualty.
The world banking system is shouting; DON'T TRUST US TO KEEP YOUR MONEY SAFE. WE'LL CONFISCATE WHENEVER WE FEEL LIKE IT.
Buy stock in home safes, cause that's where we'll start keeping our money. I told Wells Fargo last week that if they move one step closer to ESG, I'm out after 35 years. They called back.
I get worried when politics starts transitioning into capitalism. It never seems to work too well. If possible the two should always be apart from one another. One of the problems with capitalism now is govt. intervention, more never seems to work.
