A blood-covered pregnant woman pictured fleeing the deadly blast that hit her maternity hospital this week has given birth to a baby girl amid ongoing airstrikes in the “apocalyptic” Ukrainian city of Mariupol.
Mariana Vishegirskaya was photographed in a makeshift hospital room Friday as her husband lovingly held their daughter, Veronika.
The new mom was still wearing the polka dot-patterned pajamas that she was photographed in as she made her way out of the blown-apart hospital Wednesday, with blood across her shellshocked face.

There were no patients in that hospital; it was being used by the Ukrainian military.

We believe the media about this now I guess.
No, it’s not true. There are plenty of stories from a week before the shelling about how they moved most of their patients to the basement of the maternity hospital, so it was in operation. Obviously they still had some people on the surface as people came and went, for admission, etc. They were operating a maternity ward, nursery, and treating other injured people.

The Russians are trying to capture cities. In the process, civilians will die. This shouldn’t be surprising but when it happens to kids, patients, or pregnant women it’s labeled fake because it makes Russia look bad, even though they will be some portion of the war dead. It’s also possible that there were Ukrainian forces in the area since they’re defending the city and use buildings to do that. It could also have just been a targeting mistake.

Some folks here refuse to believe any of this is actually happening. Anything that doesn't support their world view is fake news.
Civilian casualties are part of war. A nation's leader accepts that burden when they make the decision to wage war. This is 100% on Putin.
No idea what the nuke plant has to do with the hospital. So, we are to believe Russian propaganda and ignore our eyes?
Should we believe the media that has lied to us about everything? Now all of a sudden they’re telling the truth?
