Facebook said Thursday that due to the invasion of Ukraine it has temporarily eased its rules regarding violent speech to allow statements like "death to Russian invaders," but not credible threats against civilians.
"As a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we have temporarily made allowances for forms of political expression that would normally violate our rules like violent speech such as 'death to the Russian invaders,'" Facebook's parent company Meta said in a statement.
"We still won't allow credible calls for violence against Russian civilians," it added.

Social media getting into the Ukraine fight - one sided. So all we’ll know is what Ukraine says and does.
Public is no longer allowd to determine what they think of any world event social media now has control.
We don’t have a free world any longer - and I would bet soon they’ll control your food videos too.....

Never thought I’d see the day even i fell for social media being open and free......Bait and switch is now obvious...get people under their media then determine whats allowed and not.

This is just a start of controlling world event reporting....eventually we’ll only hear the world view they want you to hear... when they start banning and controlling the narrative of any event you know it’s probably not true what they’re allowing to be reported.

Net nannyism. I notice posters who are all in for getting the West, and U.S in particular, involved in the conflict have nothing to say. I can understabd why. If they cheer it on, it puts them on the periphery or even outside of conservatism, because astute conservatives can see where this is headed.
