A Queens man was arrested for allegedly fighting officers and even shoving one over a ledge during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, officials announced Wednesday.
Ralph Joseph Celentano III was allegedly caught on video on the west terrace of the US Capitol pushing an officer “from behind in a ‘football-type tackle,'” causing him to fall from a ledge onto the terrace below, according to court papers filed with a criminal complaint.
The officer — an Iraq war veteran — says he feared for his safety amid the mob of protesters, thinking to himself, “I didn’t survive a war to go out like this,” the court documents claim.
Celentano allegedly got into “several physical altercations” with other law enforcement officers, the court papers allege.
The 54-year-old Broad Channel man was charged by Washington, DC, federal prosecutors with assaulting, resisting or impeding officers, civil disorder, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds and related crimes.

It was not immediately clear who Celentano’s lawyer was.
More than 775 people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the deadly insurrection where hundreds of supporters of then-President Donald Trump stormed the building in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Most of the people who attended the "rally" were civilized, about 200 were not. It was not the CIA or Antifa who were out there; it was mostly conservatives. Very shameful behavior to say the least.

Agreed. My Dad and his Pastor were there (both Anon’s). They did not go to the capital after speech, due to my Dad’s leg. He was surprised by behavior. I was here on FR, on the live thread with posters stating they were in the group pushing to get in.
I thought it looked like a cop that shoved a man off the ledge he was climbing up. Not the other way around.

I would say the reaction to a fraud election was mild. Less than it could have been.
No doubt. The problem is denial of the level of anger and action.

NYT National Security Correspondent, Matthew Rosenberg, contradicts his own January 6 reporting: “There were a ton of FBI informants amongst the people who attacked the Capitol.”
Rosenberg: “It was like, me and two other colleagues who were there [January 6] outside and we were just having fun!”
Rosenberg: “I know I’m supposed to be traumatized, but like, all these colleagues who were in the [Capitol] building and are like ‘Oh my God it was so scary!’ I’m like, ‘f*ck off!’”
Rosenberg: “I’m like come on, it’s not the kind place I can tell someone to man up but I kind of want to be like, ‘dude come on, you were not in any danger.’”
Rosenberg: “These f*#@ little dweebs who keep going on about their trauma. Shut the f*ck up. They’re f*cking b*tches.”
Rosenberg: “They were making too big a deal. They were making this an organized thing that it wasn’t.”

The reporter said there were a lot of undercover FBI. There is video of informants egging people on.
What I saw was a bunch of cops allowing people inside when they weren’t beating the crapola out of everyone.
