Discussions like this is a real thing. I recall liberals discussing how wonderful this would be “for the planet” when I was in college. Thing is, they imagine that the population would go down (good for Gaia) but they seem to feel it wouldn’t affect anything else...like food production or commercial flights or having a restaurant on every corner. If the world population dropped all over, it would make dating a real issue as the people who survive would be all over the world but there’d be no way to communicate with them or locate them. Here’s my ad. “Lonely male. Likes long, long lonely walks on deserted beaches. Long talks by myself. Like to scrounge for food in deserted stores.”
