The school is located in Fort Riley, a U.S. Army base

So this is a school on base? The base commander should shot, then tried for sabotage.

Fortunately, ignorant people are not allowed to command Army installations. So you need not apply.

In Kansas, public schools located on military installations are part of the Kansas school systems, but are organized into it’s own school district, with a school district superintendent and a school board. The military has some oversight responsibilites, mostly regarding real estate, facilities and budgeting input. In lieu of property taxes, these districts are funded through a Federal payment that reflects the numbers of military dependents that attend the school district. These districts have to follow Kansas law and regulations.

These kind of problems is the reason that many School boards throughout the state were voted out in the last election. Our Democrat Governor used to be a Republican school teacher.

My son went to this school and my son and I went to the Ft. Riley Elementary School.
