Really interesting maps to look at:

The bottom right map shows Ukrainian forces seizing land behind the invaders as they move inward (in the North of the country). They are hitting those supply lines. (blue areas getting behind the red areas)

Ukrainians seem to have a lot of air defense concentrated around Kiev, and if they have forces to mount a counter attack northwest of the city threatening Russian supply lines, I wonder what’s waiting for the Russians in Kiev itself.

What is the flag which is half blue and half red? I looked up Chechnya and it is half green and half red.

While I am glad to see Russia losing equipment (and face), that US estimate doesn’t give me a lot of confidence. The Russians are masters of deception.

Before Operation Barbarossa, German intelligence estimated that there were a certain number of Red Army divisions, including reserves. I think that the number was 160, but don’t quote me. Well toward the end of 1941, the Wehrmacht had destroyed or captured 160 divisions...and were still fighting over 100 divisions at that point (which number later grew considerably as the Soviets fully mobilized).

How much you want to bet that they have at least 1,000 nukes that we don’t know about?

“What is the flag which is half blue and half red?”

The Donetsk People’s Republic’s flag is Red, Blue and Black. The black might blend in to the background, or be omitted in some markings, that are not themselves flags. Luhansk People’s Republic’s flag is Red, Blue and White, so the same shorthand might apply to some identifying marking.

The Russians are masters of deception.

And the west (Americans) are masters of gullibility - we'll 'believe' anything, especially if it loosens up some government military contracts.

Thanks for breaking out the daily numbers.

Looks like 10-20 Russian tanks lost per day, by their rigorous verification standards.

The Ukrainian Government report on Russian tank losses is just about twice as many (300).

The last few days have not seen much maneuver. Numbers would probably surge if/when they try to enter the cities. Kiev is probably especially bristling with tank killers.
