The most interesting thing to me is the number of those here who reacted to this obvious and intentionally created “wag the dog” scenario in the very predictable way that Biden's handlers hoped that they would. Far from being “botched” foreign policy the Democrats have fomented the crisis that they needed to escape the blame that they so richly deserve for the outrageous amount of permanent damage that they have done to the country with their horrible Covid response.

In retrospect should it really be a surprise that overnight all of our resident vax pushing Covid experts turned overnight into Biden supporting war hawks? The current Ukrainian regime was installed through the destabilizing efforts of Soros, the Clinton Foundation, Obama, the “big guy” himself, his crack addled progeny, James Clapper and our own “intelligence agencies”. This band of corrupt gangsters were installed to cause instability in the region, and they have now delivered big time. This was never in the Ukrainian people's best interest and was always about consolidating power and lining pockets.

But the war hawks here are not alone. All but a handful of congress critters and media pundits neatly lined up behind sleepy Joe with people like Lindsay Graham and Mark Levin directly calling for the assassination of Putin when he is supposedly already on his death bed from cancer. No sympathy from me for Putin but what kind of abject stupidity motivates these morons to further provoke someone who has control of the largest and most deadly collection of nukes in the history of the world? And these are the people who are supposed to be the leaders of our loyal opposition? Unfortunately, Covid and the current madness has been made it abundantly clear that we have big troubles right here in River City.

Though current events may cloud the future a bit more I think it is safe to say that they are really praying for a miracle.
Assuming that Ukraine will beat back Russia and this will play into Biden’s favor has a snowball’s chance in hell.
So far, his entire administration has been to hope and pray that he can make the dumbest decisions possible and yet it will work out great for him. I don’t see America’s prospects brightening at all before the mid-terms.

Tethering America’s energy market to unstable players like Russia and Ukraine, or Iran and Venezuela, or Saudi Arabia and the Muslim world, forces us into bad binary choices like war or appeasement. Instead of breaking the cycle of dependency by embracing the potential of our own oil, gas, nuclear, and future energy capabilities, we’re trapped in the same dead end maze.

The green energy investors who fund the Democrats win and so do America’s enemies.

Biden isn’t trying to stop Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, he is trying to stop America’s economy while deftly avoiding the blame for the economic misery resulting from his domestic policies.

The sudden embrace of Ukrainian patriotism isn’t about helping that country, but consolidating unquestioning support behind the leftist agendas that are being carried out in Ukraine’s name.

When the crisis has been fully exploited, the blue and yellow flags will be tossed into the trash, along with the red, white and blue ones, and Biden will shake hands with Putin again.

Especially if both men have managed to get what they really wanted with each other’s help.

Thanks, I was not getting a friendly response for posting the same thing a few days ago. You would not believe the pushback that I was getting, mostly people accusing me of being an enemy and working for Putin. My own elderly father and I got into a bitter argument after he got all worked up listening to talk radio. But, I am no genius on foreign policy.

The first thing that I did when events in Ukrainian stole all the headlines was call up a very close friend who had top secret clearance when he worked in an intelligence agency and now runs his own export/import brokerage. He is always on top of any foreign policy news and always has a unique perspective for me. He told me down to the letter what was going on. It has been no secret among those he still associates with. It makes one wonder why people in top leadership positions on our side of the aisle can be so easily manipulated.

Your post is well taken, but I don’t think Biden is depending on Ukraine prevailing. There is too much going on with sanctions and NATO and RINOs for me to even keep track of what Biden is winning in this. Putin will win Ukraine and colossal oil wealth and much more, also.

Ukraine is the designated loser in this political theater and its President will probably have to run off with his wealth, too.

I don’t, in any way, think the Ukrainian people deserved this. But the world did not deserve COVID, either and these “leaders” don’t care.
