Part of Putin’s terms today also include Ukraine can’t join an association of nations so I expect no NATO but it probably means no EU, too. We’ll know before March 16 since Putin needs a deal before Russia defaults on their sovereign debt.
And Putin for sure won’t agree to pay for his destruction in Ukraine.
Putin doesn’t want Ukraine in the EU because he doesn’t want an economically successful Ukraine to contrast with Russia. That’s why I think selling it as being like Austria might work. There are a few EU members not in NATO.
