So maybe the Kushners have convinced Trump that supporting intervention in Ukraine will keep the money flowing into the filthy international Kushner crime syndicate, interests of the United States be damned.

Then the EU nations must stop it using their own money and troops.

If you are foolish enough to volunteer, perhaps they will accept your service.

It is easy to see that our current communist government is more evil than the Russians.

A) I am not “Pro-Putin”. I am pro Monroe Doctrine and therefore a pro “spheres of interest” foreign policy. Ukraine is a 100% legitimate target for a Russian sphere of influence as a general matter, and now, since specifically Russia is willing to fight for it and I am not, I oppose US involvement.

B) I endorsed Trump here the day he came down the elevator and fought the Cruz types here until the nomination was secure. Like Trump I was born and grew up an outer boroughs guy, and I voted for him twice.

C) Anybody who is for or against a major and consequential policy not because it’s good or bad but because Trump is for or against it is a moron.

D) I’m not convinced that the tremendous good Trump 1.0 brought to our politics (Build the wall, deport them all, reopen the factories, end offshoring, bring the boys home, MAGA) can be reduplicated by Trump 2.0 and I’m keeping my options open for 2024. He’s a brave and honorable man, but, as others have pointed out, places high value on being liked and was incompetent (to put it mildly) on turning the Executive Branch into a MAGA war machine.

E) NATO is an entangling foreign alliance in EXACTLY the way President Washington feared and the NATO treaty should be repudiated. Trump said as much and failed to act.

“Why are we afraid of Russians - because they have nukes”

You’re damn right I am. And we need to be afraid of those nukes BECAUSE the neocon establishment in charge of both the State Department and the “defense” establishment has been lusting to either subsume Russia into their globohomo world empire or to fight their long-dreamed of Russia war, because the Czar was mean to their ancestors.

The State Department is a much greater danger to America and Americans thatn anything coming out of Russia.

“Then tell me what we are doing in Ukraine trying to make it a NATO country?”

Pence complains that there are apologists in the GOP for Putin. That is nonsense, but the popular narrative that Putin was “forced” to invade Ukraine over its possible joining NATO comes close to being an apologist for Putin.

And Putin probably loves that when he hears it being stated, because it shields him from his well stated aim to restore the territory of the “glorious” Soviet Union.

So Putin invaded while he thought he had a clear chance BEFORE Ukraine joined NATO. He would not have invaded if Ukraine were a member of NATO.

His pro-Ukrainian intervention sounds like something Mr and Mrs Ivanka would promote.

Do you support the Monroe Doctrine, the Mexican War, and the Mexican punitive expedition of 1915-16?

Yes or no?

“I parted with Trump on vaccines
I part with him on being sucked into a Deep State war”

Exactly, I don’t worship Trump or any other politician, and only support someone to the extent that they believe in the same things I do. If Trump veers off the reservation, well then my support for him is gone, assuming there’s an acceptable alternative. And at the moment DeSantis is looking better and better.

Who thought Trump was pro-Putin. He had to deal with Putin, as any world leader would have to, and he did. Biden colluded with Putin to steal the election, which is why he barks one way and bites the other, keeping the oil and gas flowing and having Russia mediate the nutso Iran negotiations, on the one hand, while calling Putin names on the other.
