Any such “engineer” is an idiot. The rule of unforseen consequences, well, rules. Such an idiot engineer is working with complexity not amenable to prediction. Speaking as, as I am, an engineer, I know our limits, and that is with restricted problem sets. All of human society? Good luck. Most of existence is Rumsfelds “unknown unknowns”.
