.....LATEST....The EU just withdrew sending fighter planes they had offered.....and there will be no no flight zone established as Ukraine has requested. Their reason is concern NATO would be dragged into war with Russia.
So we’ll see if this is a bluff or true soon enough.

It sounds like something leaked that NATO doesn't want to advertise. Probably the MiGs got sold to a nuclear power, who then transfers them to the Ukies very quietly. That's the safe way to play it.

That's possible.....with Zelensky appealing to join the EU emergency meeting today they may fast track Ukraine to be a member which could change the equation.

I'm of the mind that Nato and EU were not so surprised about Putin entering Ukraine.....but were preparing for it for a few years and knew that Zelensky would stand...and that Biden (former Obama administration) would be in office. When considering all the troops and drills and armament that's been flowing into Nato nations bordering Russia .....and increasingly so over the past few years.....Putin has seen all this...and they knew he would.

Further the fact the G-7 kept brushing off negotiating for security agreements.....I can't say they all didn't know and were preparing for this.

Therefore what you said makes sense.
