Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov told UK outlet The Times on February 28 that Russia has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) tool to interfere in upcoming elections in the United Kingdom (UK) and the US at an “exponentially greater” scale than ever before.[80] Danilov stated that Russia has ”special units” dedicated to interfering in each country during upcoming elections and warned that Russia’s network of informants and agents around the world is so large that it is impossible to completely prevent Russian interference in Western elections. Danilov stated that AI has allowed Russia to substantially “ramp up” its disinformation campaigns and that Russian special services have been distributing an estimated 166 million disinformation posts about Ukraine on various media platforms per week for an unspecified period of time.

I’m very late to this thread. Very disturbing news, all those people dead and for what?
I don’t really have a side here. I knew lovely Russian people in San Francisco and now I have a Ukrainian couple as neighbors. Really likable people, adjusting quickly. I don’t believe that Russia is a threat to the US, or that we should spend so much money on Ukraine. I know this sounds simplistic, but really, it goes beyond politics. Human lives matter.

You are right, it is not the Russians themselves that are a threat to us all, it is the current Russian regime.
The villages in question are all on low ground on river flats. As such, Russian occupiers of the military low ground are in fact targets for Ukranian guns located on higher ground just to the west.

Ex-Defence Secretary Ben Wallace tore a strip off German Chancellor Olaf Scholz after he appeared to suggest British troops are helping Ukraine to fire long range missiles.
The former Cabinet minister accused him of “not only dangerous use of facts but also often wrong facts!”
In withering criticism of Mr Scholz, Mr Wallace told The Standard: “Scholz’s behaviour has showed that as far as the security of Europe goes he is the wrong man, in the wrong job at the wrong time.”
The German Chancellor has been slow to agree to send military equipment, including tanks, to Ukraine to defeat Vladimir Putin's invasion which has entered its third year. He sparked fresh controversy with comments when voicing reluctance to send Taurus long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine, pointing to a risk of his country becoming directly involved in the war.
Britain and France have long since announced that they were sending Storm Shadow and Scalp long-range missiles, respectively, to Ukraine. Mr Scholz said on Monday that the Taurus is “a very far-reaching weapon” and added: “What is being done in the way of target control and accompanying target control on the part of the British and the French can't be done in Germany. Everyone who has dealt with this system knows that.”
Mr Wallace added: “Time and time again Germany has been last to help Ukraine. At every stage they have had to be pushed or embarrassed into doing anything. That isn't leadership that is followship. “Scholz‘s latest gaffe shows that when his excuses are exposed he lashes out with not only dangerous use of facts but also often wrong facts!”

In other words, no soldiers fighting directly on the front. Canada is open to sending a limited number of troops to Ukraine. Canadian troops will not take part in combat operations, but they are ready to train Ukrainian soldiers, according to Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is a threat to Armenian security as Russian officials refused to acknowledge Armenia’s reduced participation in the CSTO. Pashinyan stated on February 28 that the CSTO is creating security problems instead of fulfilling its obligations to Armenia and that the CSTO’s “lack of an answer” regarding its responsibilities to Armenia “creates a threat” to Armenia’s “security and territorial integrity.”[39] Pashinyan previously stated that Armenia has “essentially” frozen its participation in the CSTO because the organization “failed to fulfill its obligations in the field of security” to Armenia, particularly in 2021 and 2022.[40] Pashinyan noted on February 28 that Armenia has not had a permanent representative to the CSTO in the past year and that Armenian officials and forces have not participated in CSTO events and exercises in “a long time.”[41] ISW previously observed that Armenia appeared to be effectively abstaining from participation in the CSTO after Pashinyan and other Armenian representatives did not attend several consecutive CSTO events in mid to late 2023.[42] Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated on February 28 that Russia “does not accept” Armenia’s non-compliance with the CSTO agreement.[43]

The Presidential Administration is shocked by the words of the American journalist Tucker Carlson regarding the goals of the SVO. In a recent podcast regarding the denazification of Ukraine, Carlson said: “This is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. I didn't understand what this meant: denazification. I hate all this talk because there is nothing real in it.” Moreover, Carlson, who interviewed Vladimir Putin, emphasized that he did not agree with him about Nazism in Ukraine.
“Putin does not like Ukrainian nationalists. Putin hates nationalism in general. Of course, because he has 80 different republics, and he is afraid of nationalist movements. Because of this, he waged a war in Chechnya... I am for nationalism, I am for American nationalism, so I do not agree with Putin on this. But to call them (Ukrainians - Ed.)
