Intelligence acquired since the beginning of the Russian military operation over Ukraine has shown an immense lack of logistic support, making this war one of the most unique in 2022 when it comes to surveillance.
For the 1st time in a modern conflict, the regular forces of Russia are communicating without digital mode, making them fully audible by everyone.

The Russian army is a disgrace to the concept of army.
Thanks
Russians have had air superiority for days. There is no Uke air force. Likewise, apparently there are no Javalins as there isn’t a single smoking vehicle pushed off to the side and that is prime ambush territory.
Read this very interesting and long thread by Kamil Galeev:
Why Russia will lose this war
Much of the “realist” discourse is about accepting Putin's victory, cuz it's *guaranteed*. But how do we know it is? I'll argue that analysts 1) overrate Russian army 2) underrate Ukrainian one 3) misunderstand Russian strategy & political goals
They should get their air force up and stop these guys.
LOL. Triumphalist garbage already? Just couldn’t resist could you. Putin winning in Ukraine is the end of MAGA and President Trump. Guaranteed. Congrats.
I had the same thought.
There was some politician on Fox & friends advocating for the USAF to use A10’s to take out this convoy. That would not be putting boots on the ground.
Is there some rule of war that makes an air strike less offensive that using a M4 to kill? Any opinions on airstrikes?
“They should get their air force up and stop these guys.”
That was simple correction for those parroting the lies and assaulting the Freepers who refused such nonsense.
I have no emotional investment in the course of events nor the outcome.
yesterday it was 40 miles long, where are the other 23 miles of vehicles?
“Have you captured a Russian tank or armored personnel carrier and are worried about how to declare it? Keep calm and continue to defend the Motherland! There is no need to declare the captured Russian tanks and other equipment, because the cost of this ... does not exceed 100 living wages (UAH 248,100),” NAPC’s press service said.
Also, there is no need in this case to submit reports of significant changes in property status within 10 days.

The damage on that road, dubbed The Highway of Death afterwards, was done by a couple of F-15Es, IIRC.
I spent a whole weekend on the apron down at Hurlburt Field once working on a Military version of civilian AC used for “other purposes.” It was really cool watching all those AC-130 Gunships taking off and landing. That weekend it seemed like they were getting in hours for practice takeoffs and landings or something.
I’d also like to say that it was THAT incident that prompted that fakeass Conservative Colin Powell to urge Bush NOT to proceed on into Baghdad and end Saddam’s control right then and there. It was reported that Colin felt that the optics of the HoD coupled with taking Baghdad would make us look like war mongers.

Russia's defence ministry said on Wednesday that 498 Russian soldiers had died in Ukraine and another 1,597 had been wounded since the beginning of Moscow's military operation there, Russia's RIA news agency reported.
It was the first time that Moscow had put a figure on its casualties.
The ministry also said that more than 2,870 Ukrainian soldiers and “nationalists” had been killed and about 3,700 wounded, according to Interfax. The numbers could not be independently verified and there was no immediate comment from Ukraine.

217 Tanks and 900 APCs?!?
Someone in Armor help me out with this, but isn’t it 90 Tanks to a Brigade? 3 Brigades to a Division? 4 Tanks to a Platoon, and 3 to 4 Platoons to a Company, 3 to 4 Companies to a Brigade.
So 2/3s of an Armor Division destroyed already? The US has like 4 Divisions if I recall: 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 7th.
If these numbers are close, WTF?
It is a Russian disaster. 9k KIA in a week!
“Badass Ukrainians keep carjacking tanks of the “most formidable army of Europe”. Or should I say - tankjacking?”

This is joyriding at a new level.
Thx
