We do not know. The American military has not been allowed to win a war for damn near 80 years. The closest was First Gulf War, 30 years ago. General Norman Schwarzkopf did a masterful job, but alas the politicians took over & fixed it. Money to be made, doncha know?

Yes, the U.S. Army, the Marine Corps, plus the Anglosphere armies, the French, Poles and others are tactically and operationally proficient. They can shoot, move, communicate, and sustain operations over distance and time.
Our problem in Afghanistan was strategic. Unrealistic and contradictory goals that battlefield success could not turn into a lasting strategic result. In short a political problem stemming from bad policy, not military failure.
Our military is much better than the Russian military at being woke.
Ours can't figure out which bathroom to use but their lipstick is on and adam's apple covered up with concealer.
