If you look at WWII, the Russian way of fighting is throwing tons of men and equipment in the general direction of the enemy. They were still taking disproportionate losses in 1945, but they had so large an army they didn’t care.
Now they have very limited resources, and can’t fight a war of any significant length.
Putin can only survive by using a few Fuel / Air bombs in the middle of “Keef” and I’m sure he knows that it’s unlikely the US has the political will to respond in kind if he (Putin) hits a NATO country with a tactical low yield nuclear weapon. Grandpa Diaper doesn’t have the balls nor does he have the support of half the people in this country - after all, 60% of us are “white supremacists” and “Trump supporters” right? Anti vaxxers and deplorables. The people don’t believe a freaking thing the media says anymore.
Any NATO country that traffics in weaponry used to thwart Putin’s goals and kill Russian troops risks Hellfire - they better know it.
Are you listening Germany?
They're a third-world country with first-world nukes and a shitload of petroleum.
Quantity is its own quality?
It really was worse than that. If you tried to turn back you were shot. Stalin used his armies as cannon fodder, competent commanders could have done better, but that was not to be. Stalin never took one trip to the front during the war.
“”The first man in line gets a rifle! The second, ammunition! When the first is killed, the second gets a rifle and shoots!””
They did the same in WWI. The Russian Army was called “The Steam Roller”. But they were inept and after they lost badly at Tannenberg, it was all down hill.
