This is a stupid “war”.

That didn’t have to happen. Weakness from Brandon and Germany gave Putin the green light. The NATO stuff has always been a red herring. Putin wants to destroy Ukraine because he can’t own it.

I am posting this and then I am done with the dumb azz bunnies around here that fall for whatever the DS and global goons dish out. We are going to get what our ignorant asses deserve and then some.

People here are living in the 60’s.

There’s probably no country on earth that isn’t a little corrupt. So give Russia a pass to invade them all. I don’t think so.

Well, that's my sentiment too. I guess it's human nature to divide combatants in a war into the good guys and the bad guys. Look at World War II for example, when everyone was rooting for the Soviets, who probably had more blood on their hands than Hitler.

Yes I read it. Since when do we believe what the MSM says? All I know, just by casual observation, is the Ukrainians live in a very dangerous neighborhood and they have some very shaky friends. One of the worst things that happened to them is a very corrupt president was elected replacing someone they were hoping they could rely on.

I go on gut instinct, I liked Zelensky from the start and look how he is turning out.

My hat’s off to him.

He had a wry smile at the end. He knew they would empty the crapper on him.

Mostly what one reads in the MSM is how wonderful and democratic Zelensky is.

Yes, they kept hoping to elect someone who would actually tackle the corruption, but every time disappointed. It’s tragic and I truly feel for the people. They became disappointed in Zelensky, too (his approval rating tanked to less than 25%). One, because of the way he handled disclosure of his offshore accounts in the Pandora Papers, and secondly, his sacking Razumkov:

“The paths of Zelensky and Razumkov began to diverge last spring when the speaker found himself more frequently at odds with the president over the Security Council’s rule in Ukraine. Razumkov stood up in defense of the constitution—even when the fight with the oligarchs was in question—and of the “presidential promises of 2019.” On October 7, Razumkov was dismissed as speaker by an unusual coalition comprising a large part of the presidential faction in parliament, Yulia Tymoshenko’s Batkivshchyna, and several oligarch-controlled MP groups.”

I’m sure his approval has skyrocketed lately.

Zelensky my may well be less corrupt than his predecessors, and more power to him. The reality is, the corruption is so entrenched (with roots that go from all the way back to 1970s Soviet days, with the same families still controlling positions of power), it is nearly impossible to counter — and can be extremely dangerous.

By the way, to my mind, Ukraine’s corruption is no excuse for the slightly-less-corrupt Russia to invade. I am hardly arguing that point.
