The first thing that tells me how far the media is in it - using the word Kyiv (Keeve) instead of the usual (and Russian) word of Kiev (Kee Ev).

They should be consistent and use "Moskva" for "Moscow".

From the interwebs:

“What does Moscow mean? This name is much older than the city itself. The actual name of the city in Russian is “Moskva”. When the city was founded in 1147 it was called ‘Moskov” which sounded closer to the present-day English pronunciation.”

It is located on the Moskva River (which sounds like that is what the city took its name after?).
