Question: Why did they change the movement’s goal from preventing “global warming” to preventing “climate change”?
Answer: Because global average temperatures have actually declined since 2009.
No one doubts the fact that atmospheric CO2 has some effect on surface temperatures. The point is that it is insignificant compared to other factors like water vapor, solar cycles, and Earth’s axis tilt. The predictions of temperature increases based on computer models have all been wildly wrong because the atmosphere is a non-linear coupled system (chaotic) and our predictions are worthless at this point. Apocalyptic environmentalism is religion, not science.
I’m happy to see that a discussion about the “Obliquity of the Ecliptic,” is suggested. So important and always ignored, the predictable wobble of our beautiful home planet.
