Russians and Ukrainians have some really bad dudes in their ranks.....and they don’t give a frig who they attack....they’re sadistic and will use the ‘fog of war’ to do their dastardly deeds.

If you don’t recognize the Ukraine and Russian culture when it comes to how they fight then you wouldn’t understand why this happens. Just like ISIS went into wars and do their dastardly deeds. There are bad apple paramilitary groups on both sides.

Claims on social media now that 5,000 contract troops deployed at Belgorod in Russia are refusing orders to advance into Ukraine

The Russian advance against Kharkiv is coming from across the Belgorod

Kharkiv area has been getting hit massively now with Russian missiles bombs shells

I think most recognized this war was going to get very nasty.....even among the citizens. When you’ve got battles on the streets and paramilitary groups unidentified anyone can be an enemy....or friend.

Russian “security forces” have been arresting Russian protestors in Moscow and St. Petersburg by the thousands.

Russia needs regime change badly.

Disagree. In 2014, Ukraine wanted to join EU so that their economy was no longer enslaved to Putin, i.e. Maiden.

Putin’s puppet President flew in a helicopter in the middle of the night. Still many of Putin’s corrupt deep state remained in government positions.

I don’t remember BLM resulted in the regime change.

Putin clearly doesn’t want to go all Second Battle of Grozny at this point, but he almost certainly will if that’s what it takes. The devastation in Syria is appalling, but Western media has the attention spian of a knat so...

Russia has sufficient conventional military power to reinforce each of its current axes of advance and overpower conventional Ukrainian forces defending them.

Well, yeah, they can drive around the countryside. But they don't seem to be able to take any large towns and if they stop to block Ukrainians from supporting forces further East then they aren't advancing on Kiev, are they?

All the Ukrainains have to do is hold on. The Russians would probably need the bulk of their forces to take Kiev, and the civilian casualties would be horrendous, probably enough to drag the US and NATO into it.

What rot. The US verbally supported the Maidan protests and many US and European NGOs supported them.

But no rent-a-mob could do what they did: you don't get a fire without fuel, and Putin's puppet Yanukovych was genuinely hated by enough people that even his own security forces wouldn't act.

‘’This read more like a propaganda piece than an objective assessment of what’s actually going on.

The end of that mess of a report seemed to realize what might be taking place with a pincer movement in the southeast. The fact Kiev isn’t dark is all i need to know about Russian intentions st moment

So tell everyone why so called Nazi’s (PUTIN’S FAVORITE WORD FOR UKRAINIANS) would shoot regular citizens trying to leave an area under attack

The UDF are (apparently) using human shields. If the video is true, and it really shows people trying to escape from Mariupol, then it makes sense. The Russians are coming: so the UDF are keeping the city full of hostages.

And a tape of that just magically appears on a pro Russian site.

If the video is what it purports to be, would you expect it to appear on CNN? Of course it would appear on a pro-Russian site.

I added a disclaimer about it being a pro-Russian site in my post. Which somehow you missed. Huh.

And as for it being fake: people died during that video. If you've seen it, you know that for a fact.

The only option left is to argue is that it's some sort of Russian snuff film or devilish agitprop.

But certainly somebody got killed, so certainly one side has carried out a warcrime. On camera.

FReepers can make their own minds up about which side it was.

“If Russia decides to win, they will win.

The question right now is why the restraint? And when will it end.?”

I have been seeing reports about this being a decapitation op earlier today from our DOD which explains the restraint. But from what I saw from foreign news services is that the intensity and scale of the attacks have increased significantly today.

See Caww, that is better.

‘Bad apples’ is way, way better than ‘it was dark, what did the civilians expect would happen’?

And I can certainly believe that there are trigger-happy killers on both sides. Not a man among us would have been suprised if Chechens did something like this.

The evident shock this video has caused on this site comes from the fact that - if true - it breaks the narrative of wicked Russians vs stalwart Ukraineans.

Let’s all be careful of investing in a narrative. Which advice applies to me as well, of course.

Russians were already caught with Ukrainian uniforms. And almost certainly to do garbage like your video so gullible dupes would get outraged by manufacturered propaganda. “Oh my God, Nazis are killing the innocents just like Uber Czar Putin said and why he needed to go in and save the people.”

Ukrainian unarmed protesters slowly advanced on police snipers, using homemade shields in 2014. A hundred were shot dead.

4) Crimea axis: Russian forces advancing north towards Zaprozhia and east towards Mariupol threaten to isolate Ukrainian forces on the line of contact in Donbas if they do not withdraw.
Just for the fun of it, if I were the Ukrainians, I'd go Roman on 'em and march those troops up to Moscow.

F__ Off. You have one suspect video vs Vlad the Invader's violent invasion of Ukraine, a country of 40 million. There is NO question that the Russian invaders are "wicked".

Well it’s clear Ukrainians were caught flat footed despite all the warnings. But I stick with the fact there was a clear Marshall law into effect....and even now they are told if they’re on the streets they will be shot. I think Zelensky understands Ukrainians don’t tend to take warnings even in the face of war.

BTW Why did those guys “run” toward that vehicle as they did? What was going on that we don’t see?
