I don’t trust either side. We are probably being gaslighted. Putin might very well be working with the globalists. You can’t trust anyone. That said….. the natural gut instinct is to side with Putin since the presstitutes, commies, and neocons are all against him.

They don’t seem the type to vote democrat so I don’t expect many refugees from Ukraine coming here.

Is Putin’s real objective Donetsk and Luhansk and the rest is psychological shock and awe? Maybe he will keep those two and let the rest of Ukraine go.

We should bomb the shit out of the Russians, even if they are on Russian soil.

Just a few jets would do the trick. they would never even know we were there......just lots of explosions.

Agree. The Putin Purge is about to come. A lot of Russian generals are going to get shot.

Considering the experience of the Holodomor is seared into the Ukranian conscience,

I think it was more what Putin said than Holodomor. He literally said many times Ukraine was an illegitimate nation and he was going to wipe them off the map. The Ukrainians took him at his word and fought like wildcats like anybody would when faced with that.

Putin thought he could replay 2014. Run the Ukrainians out of ammo while the west abandoned them. He misread the political situation, too. No doubt thinking the west was divided. I’m sure the neo isolationist delusions on right got lots of play in Russia. He thought his enemy was weak and whiteout support. He was 1000% wrong

Someone suggested that an offer be made that any Russian soldier surrendering will be offered asylum in the west.

Most of these boys really don’t want to be there.

Most of those 2,000 planes are not combat aircraft. Modern anti-aircraft misses, either ground-to-air or air-to-air are very effective. How many of those 2,000 planes are operational, and how many are hanger queens? And just how well trained are Russian pilots?

Javelin anti-tank missles have tremendous stand off. That means even if Russian tanks identify the launch point, they can’t fire back because they lack the range.

Ukraine might also have laser/satellite guided artillery rounds. They just don’t miss.

As country friendly to Ukraine begin to scale up weapons support, Ukraine might soon have more advanced weapons than they know what to do with.

You also don’t know if friendlies might not assist is air combat from outside the borders of Ukraine. There are air-air missles with ranges well in excess of 100 miles. Might even be some AWACs planes in Poland that could be providing air control info to Ukraine. They can see shit from over 1,000 miles away.

“In a rebuke of Putin’s human rights record, Moore also wrote around the same time in a separate tweet: ‘With the tragedy and destruction unfolding so distressingly in Ukraine, we should remember the values and hard-won freedoms that distinguish us from Putin, none more than LGBT+ rights.’”

I stopped reading right there...

Ukraine is a country of 44 million with an armed force of a quarter million. The Russians will have a far harder time than their KGB thug anticipated.

Kiev will not run out of food. Too many ways to get food in. It’s more likely that the Russians will run out of food. Their logistical train is much easier to disrupt.
Those 140,000 Russian troops not sent in are likely mostly support troops. If not, Russia has a huge problem.

In WW II, for every combat arms soldier, there were 9-10 soldiers supporting them.

When I was in the Army in thr mid-1970s, I was assigned to the 295th Supply Company. On D-Day, June 6, 1944, the 295th Supply company landed on Omaha Beach at D-Day + 1 hour. That’s how important logistics is.

Putin thought he could replay 2014.

Crimea, Dontesk and Lutansk are all Russian speaking. Now he is in the heartland of Ukraine. His best bet is to take capital and then call for a cease fire immediately. But the way things look, even if he takes the capital, Ukrainians may not agree to a cease fire.

It’s much worse than that for Putin. There is video of Ukrainian civilians being issued rifles in Kharkiv today. That’s on the border practically IN Russia. Those type of places were a mess of Ukrainian corrupt in 2014. Now Putin is powerless to take them. He has lost.

Time for him to announce that he has reached his objectives and that he'll withdraw. Or he'll has to escalate. There's a risk of he ends up doing that.

100,000+ Jews in Russia. Millions more Russians who lost family to real Nazis in WW2. Where is the line in Russia to go fight these “nazis”? There isn’t one.

There is already one video of Russian soldiers running with bags of looted food.
