Well, to be accurate, Kaliningrad is on the Baltic, pinched between Poland and Lithuania. North of Lithuania, is Latvia. So, Estonia is two countries away from Kaliningrad.

Do you realize that those countries are isolated. Finland and Sweden are not in NATO and the waters are controlled by soviet subs.
So we have troops far north of Kaliningrad Oblast but will be "threatened" by troops, missiles and tanks that NATO placed in Estonia.
It would be similar to Russia putting a couple of mech divisions in an Indian Reservations of Oklahoma or New Mexico that decided to become sovereign nation, after driving up from the Mexican border.

I'd recommend asking around and seeing what the current retention rate for SEALs is. You'd be surprised on how many active duty enlisted 0311 or 11-bravo are sticking around for this bullsh#t.
