Women are wildly unrealistic on dating apps. Studies have shown that men distribute their rankings of women according to the expected symmetric bell curve, with the majority of women falling between 4 and 6 on a 10 point scale, with thick “tails” of the curve extending up to 10 points and down to 1. On the other hand, women rate 93% of men as mediocre or worse, with the median falling around 2.5 points out of 10, and a vanishingly small number above 7 or 8. The few men who rise to this level have a vast surfeit of women to choose from, and make the most of it in the selfish, piggish manner that one might expect.
Dating apps are a complete waste of time for most men, and a short, straight pathway to pump-and-dump heartache for most women.

This is done while the woman is on a video call where everyone can see she’s nowhere near that attractive. The delusion is strong.
