We don’t buy/sell anything with Russia. Okay, likely do sell. We could put pressure via proxy—any country that shares commerce with Russia can no longer share commerce with the US. INCLUDING CHINA. Let China and others reign in Russia to keep us as commerce partners.

We don't buy/sell anything with Russia...

If only. Unfortunately, we import a lot of oil from Russia.

The good news is that the UN appears to be in agreement and uniformly condemning Russia for this and that UN driven sanctions should have some effective teeth.

The bad news is that the UN appears to be in agreement and UN driven sanctions should have some effective teeth.

Sure we stand united against Russia. Just in time for the Antichrist to wield an effective world government.

Definite good news/bad news scenario.

Why do we care? The two independent states that he has recognized broke off from the hyper-corrupt Ukraine state 8 years ago. They are almost all Russian speaking and Russian ethnic citizens in those new Republics.

Remember, Ukraine's corrupto-crats were bribing Joe Biden via Hunter's nonsense $1 million a year no-show job. And the first impeachment of Trump was pretty much a Ukrainian set up (that is highly connected Ukrainian Americans including the Army officer who claimed to have "overheard" Trumps call, and former ambassador to Ukraine who was a big witness in Trump's impeachment.

People in those countries are happy that their new nations have been recognized by Uncle Vlad. Why should USA side with corrupt Ukraine over Donbass independence?
