Australian authorities said they plan to reopen the country's borders to international tourists on Monday after closing it for nearly two years since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Reuters reported.
Since November, Australia has allowed citizens and residents to travel in and out of the country, then admitted international students and some employees. On Monday, leisure and business travelers will be able to enter the country, according to Reuters.

hell....who in their right mind would wanna visit that dictatorship?
SMH
Boycott all these totalitarian countries. Hell, they might change the rules while you’re there and you end up in a camp.
Don’t they mean “vaccinated tourists”?
Was that left out of the headline to gaslight the unvaccinated, as if they are some insignificant minority?
I’m guessing that Slovakian tennis player will be one of the first to come back for a visit.
I had the same thought. Not the ideal vacation spot...
As I posted on the Sky News story, I went there as a US Marine on exercise. I’m glad I never had to defend the place, as what they’ve done with the freedom they had isn’t worth one drop of my blood. I don’t visit countries that operate concentration camps, and I’m not flying halfway around the world to have my fundamental human rights violated.
The English speaking world is showing a strong predilection towards actual fascism in the name of anti-fascism. I would not reward Canada, NZ or Australia with my business. Sic semper tyrannis.
” Hell, they might change the rules while you’re there and you end up in a camp.”
exactly ...
The Great Barrier Reef was on my bucket list. Now, not so much.
NOT INTERESTED EVER! And Australians, unless you are fleeing your nightmarish nation and its medical dictates, you are not welcome where I am.
I am saying HELL NO. No AustraHELL for me.
Yeah, right. So, that one of their petty tyrants can arrest me on arrival and have me thrown into “isolation.” No thanks.
George Roswell was a profit. You could argue that the UK is actually more rational (at least compared to Canada, Australia and New Zealand).
Only go after you've crossed everything else off the list.
George Roswell???
Fortunately, I took R&R there in 1970. Back when they were still a free country.
Always wanted to go back, but no thanks. Not after seeing how they now treat their own people.
You and me both. You couldn’t pay me to go to a place that does what they do to innocent people.
Tourists? Hah my azz.
You are safer around the sharks than you are around that government.
