From what I understand the government has no control over the crypto wallets. What they are controlling are the owners, making them swear under oath they are not using or transferring crypto. They can lie and would only be sanctioned if the crypto recipient snitched on them.
Umm....yeah - I don’t think this works as they seem to believe. These aren’t “accounts” held by an institution. Nobody can stop crypto transactions.
I think they’re making a claim of victory before the reality is understood.

My understanding is that they sent freeze orders to the wallet software providers, ordering them to freeze the accounts.
And were told that simply isn't possible.
Use the cryto and you go to prison so it doesnt really matter about actual control.
