Try filing a lawsuit based on your lost revenue from being stuck in a traffic jam sometime and tell me how successful it is.
Damages have to be specific, and tied to some actual action by someone against you. Suing for damages due to things like traffic congestion, or customers not coming to your store because the neighborhood is crowded is not and never has been a part of western civil law.
This isn’t a traffic jam. It was planned, organized, coordinated and executed. The point was to shut down the city. And they did. That shut down had a cost. Time to pay up.
