Statute of limitations can start at the last illegal act, not necessarily the first. If the conspiracy ran into/during Trump’s presidency, there is still time on the clock.
You are mostly correct. When there are criminal conspiracies, the SOL is tolled as long as any of the conspirators commit acts in furtherance of the conspiracy even if some members are not aware of the new acts. As it stands now the SoL restarts every day.

If a RICO case is pursued, it would be 4 years from the discovery of the act / damage. If Bribery charges are on the table it is 5 years from the last act associated with the bribery.
Bribery refers to the offering, giving, soliciting, or receiving of any item of value as a means of influencing the actions of an individual holding a public or legal duty.
Bribery is a predicate act for RICO. Since there is a legal duty to report felony crimes (hacking falls into that category as it is considered a major crime) and since lawyers have a legal obligation (duty) to not participate in crimes and report any attempt to participate in crimes; I can see a case for bribery charges that then invokes RICO.
That puts a whole lot of people into play for investigation.
