Biden cannot even decide what color Jello he wants. What business is this of ours? If we make it our business then have a coherent energy policy where we sell petroleum products to the world in an expansionist manner. Although, I would be completely fine with not exporting petroleum if we expanded production in America to meet our energy needs and significantly lower the cost of energy. That would make ordinary American lives better and give American manufacturers a huge competitive advantage.

Democrats and RINOs are stuck on building over-priced, inefficient and unreliable energy sources. We buy those windmills and solar panels from foreign manufacturers while raising the price of energy. One thing is clear, leftist-globalists in our nation always think it someone else's turn to be dominant in industry. There is no vision from government. Government can not even determine true threats to our economy. Research China's New Silk Road. That's a huge one threat (and there are others). I have never heard any politician speak about the New Silk Road and highly doubt if anyone in government has the IQ to assess the threat, let alone come up with a coherent domestic and foreign policy to counter it in manner that greatly benefits Americans.

He probably reached (or was told) his decision after consulting with “The Squad.”

“...and cited climate change as the basis for its decision...”

Don’t you just hate these filthy global warming bastards? Israel and the rest should just go ahead and build the bloody thing.

It’s gotten so bad that one has to root against our own country.

“Imagine if another country told us what we could or couldn’t do with the Keystone pipeline.”

They couldn’t do any worse to us than the Union government did.

The REAL winners and losers in this are Russia and Europe. Russia gets to maintain its monopoly on providing gas to Europe. And Europe loses, as they’re screwed if Putin decides to turn off the tap, or charge exorbitant prices for his gas.

How is the US involved in this pipeline?? Why can’t the countries selling and the countries to receive the gas work out their own finances and build it?? From where is our control derived??

I don’t know how the US can “kill” this project if we are not financing it.

My guess is that it boils down to the US insuring international maritime law: In this case, freedom from harassment of vessels involved in the project by Turkish "gunboat diplomacy". Note the harassment of the Italian survey ship by the Turks. Like it or not, only the US has the might to enforce, in effect, "no funny business" (sabotage / harassment) by "anybody" (ie., the Turks) and most importantly, be a credible deterrent.

Well, that very last if we had an actual President.

Hmmm...reading “Biden admin kills Isreal-Europe pipeline” within five minutes of also reading “Russia pulls back from Ukraine”.

Nail on the head... I’m sure there were other favors granted as well. Who knows when we will see what they are.

Israel will have no allies at the end, so the events have to lead to the point where Israel renounces the financial support of the USA.

So, while the world looks at this as “Turkey wins” or “Biden sucks,” the events bear witness to the season we’re in. Repent accordingly...

“..within five minutes of also reading “Russia pulls back from Ukraine”.

from what I remember, when Russia went into Belarus with their troops it was claimed to be for the purpose of joint exercises with the Belarusian troops. It was said then by the Russians their troops would leave Belarus when the exercised were finished.

If that it is the case then it would not be connected to the pipeline matter.

— just trying hard with little success following this chess game —

[snip] Is the Biden administration truly concerned about climate change, or does it want to prevent Israel from becoming a strategically important supplier of natural gas to Europe? "The reversal on the EastMed pipeline becomes only more hypocritical and offensive given the fact that President Biden continues to clear the path towards completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline." — U.S. Representatives Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) and Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), in a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken... The Biden administration's decision also smacks of hypocrisy. The White House claims that it wants the Mediterranean region to transition to "clean energy," but it recently announced its support for the Russia-backed Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which would double shipments of Russian natural gas to Germany. [/snip]

I guess all those Biden loving Greeks and Cypriots just got a wedgy.

Putin must be loving that an alternative to his gas is being denied to Europe by Biden*. Maybe that’s a deal the administration made with Putin to not attack Ukraine and to make JRB look strong?
