We live in the People’s Republic of New York State under commissar hochul. The people that are still wearing masks in the grocery stores have their carts loaded with processed food. I quite ironic
Sort of like the government idiots who think drug addicts living and shooting up on the streets of San Francisco will be scrupulous and hygienic with the free needles and crack pipes given to them courtesy of the taxpayers. Cognitive dissonance is real.
We were lucky in TN. Our governor left it up to the mayors to decide how much to lock down, saying they knew their communities better than he did. Government offices were closed for a little while but everything else was left up to the mayors. Our mayor pretty much left it up to the business owners and most of them opted to stay open. Some required masks, others recommended them.
It was recommended everyone stay home unless they really needed to get out. I made a point of going somewhere every day so never felt the loss of freedom people in towns with demoncrat mayors felt.
I don’t mask up but use hand sanitizer when I go out. I’ve done that for years anyway and haven’t had so much as a cold.
There are still people here who wear masks in the stores and you can see fear in their eyes. Pathetic.
We’ve lost a few friends the past couple of years but all had serious comorbidities. My husband had WuFlu last month but I had therapeutics on hand and he got through it. Somehow I managed to not catch it. It doesn’t mean I won’t at some point but I won’t live in fear in the meantime, and I won’t cave to tyranny. Thankfully there’s been very little of that here.
