And it has bugger all to do with coffee.

There is a whole pump and dump industry which specializes in stocks like this, pink sheet stocks and other tools of speculations. When I was younger, I would occasionally pick up $100 or so of such shares and sometimes win big.

More often, the shares would become worthless. With nearly 12,000 stocks and ETFs on the market, I just don't have the stomach to do that anymore especially with so many of them backed by real stuff like earnings.
