I heard a biographer say Elizabeth drove her family bonkers talking about engine blocks and what she learned. You have to remember that she wasn’t expected to be Queen and her family lived quietly. Bearing pictures of the Queen wringing the neck of a dyingpheasant, the British press have had a field day covering the infamous incident. The Sunday Mirror ran the picture and a piece under the headline, “The Killer Queen.”
