China and Saudi Arabia set to strengthen military ties.....

Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and China’s Minister of National Defense Wei Fenghe discussed defense cooperation last week, exploring ways to strengthen their bilateral military relations and coordination.

The Chinese defense minister pledged to push forward “practical cooperation [and] strengthening solidarity” between the two armies.

Satellite images that were published by CNN last month indicate that Saudi Arabia is building its own ballistic missiles with the help of China. The Kingdom is known to possess foreign-made ballistic missiles, including from China, but is not believed to have made its own before.

As the United States scales back its military presence in the region – in particular in the Gulf region – China has been expanding its influence across the Middle East. Earlier this month, foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain, along with the secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council, paid a visit to Beijing.

Does anyone here get the sense that the United States is in a serious state of decline? A few months ago the Europeans were discussing a future military cooperation pact that did not include the United States. Now this.

Saudi is one of the countries rapidly moving from the US sphere of influence to the Chinese.

Decline? I think we're months, if not weeks away from total collapse.

Its why the present (and long-standing) US deep-state focus on neutering Russia is absolutely ridiculous and strategically stupid.

China is already an economic and trading power. Russia is not. Russia abandoned communist ideology. China has not. Russia is a christian nation, that traditionally looks towards the West. China is not.

The US deep-state’s asinine machinations and fight over the poor, corrupt and demographically collapsing Ukraine is a seriously stupid thing to do.

Clearly the US is crumbling. The Saudis need protection from Iran. They need a strong ally. The US is led by a cabal of inept communists with a demented old crook as their front man. Anyone that would trust their security to the US is out of their mind.

I’m not sure 2024 will save the US. The media is powerful, and pro communist. The public is stone stupid.

Saudi Arabia exports >70% of its oil to Asia. I believe China overtook Japan in 2021 as the largest buyer.

As such, of course Saudi will look to become closer to China - and no doubt China will make some demands on Saudi Arabia as well: perhaps demanding acceptance of Chinese Yuan (not US Dollar) payment, guaranties of supply, mutual trade agreements, etc...

As long as Russia is allied to China, blocking Russia is essential to defending against China.

Take Ukraine. It is the most fertile agricultural region of the world outside the Midwest.

China cannot feed itself without imports. If Ukraine is in the Western block the west will have an essential control over China.

China’s been going full boar for years in it’s expansion throughout the world......but it’s coziness with Saudi is to weaken our relationship and leverage against us.

Important to be aware of China. Russia and M.East movements among their leaders now...and who is visiting who.

Putin and Xi meeting this week as an example.

It’s uncomfortable to say the least that they’re seeking ways to strengthen their bilateral ‘military’ relations and coordination.....

IMO China hasn’t done much about supporting Russia, (that we can actually see) because they always want to be seen as the peacemakers letting Russia take all the beatings while they move about on the world stage.

Yes, so far from Kazakhstan to Ukraine the partnership is China is the carrot while Russia is the stick.

When you look at China’s past history...way back to present you see they pretty much operate as they did then. It’s all about expansion and in the way we see it happening today. .....They present themselves as the Benevolent Provider to unite the world... just as they did when they brought the warring states together to form China. And they were masters at getting states to fight each other. They’re doing the same thing today.
