This is not a matter of hypocrisy; these people damn well know a mask offers no protection -- that whether or not you wear a mask has no relationship to whether or not you catch ... and spread ... the Fauci Flu. Instead, this is a matter of maintaining the continuing high level of fear, distrust, depression and anger among a still-irrationally frightened, irretrievably ignorant (or irretrievably stupid, if you prefer) population that widespread masking provides: a powerful, persistent visual reminder of the fiction that we're all just one cough, one sneeze or one spittle droplet away from certain death! -- And people continue to believe that vile lie told directly to their masked face.
