1. Spotify stock is down 43% before the Neil Young thing.

2. Neil has threatened to leave Spotify before over sound quality.

3. Both Neil and Joni have reasons to create publicity: a new album for him, a new award for her. Both have met with a collective blah.

4. Why would Spotify turn against Rogan and his $100M franchise contract?

5. Despite rumors, other major artists have not pulled their content from Spotify.

Re: "Spotify stock is down 43% before the Neil Young thing."

Correct. Spotify is a Pandemic Stock - like Zoom Video. All of the Pandemic Stocks have been hit hard over the last six months. From memory, Zoom is down almost 70% since its peak.

Re: "Why would Spotify turn against Rogan and his $100M franchise contract?"

Because 93% of Spotify revenues come from music related products, that's why. The fact that Spotify stood up for Joe Rogan against two legendary musicians is really quite impressive - in my opinion.
