There is absolutely no reason for it. Doctors have had digression to prescribe anything they think could work. I recently read where one doctor prescribed Viagra to treat the effects of COVID (and it worked)
Doctors are the front line of medicine. They are the ones who find and report things. They are the highest educated.
There is no reason for bureaucrats to second-guess them... especially ones that have a financial interest in government decisions.

Almost 10 BILLION "free" doses have been administered as of today. No one seems to know how much "our" government, and governments around the world have paid for those "free" jabs, but I think it's safe to say that the manufacturers cleared $100 a dose.
$1 X 10,000,000,000 is $ TEN BILLION dollars!
10% for "enticements" for every senator, congressman, supreme court justice and the president and vice president (552 total) would be a bit over $1.8 Million in 'gratuities'. Chump change from $10 billion.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
The false positive rate was 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Quarantine the sick. Protect the vulnerable. Hang the guilty. Free everyone else.
Actually there may be a 1 to 2% risk of some kind of heart reaction to using HCQ. In fact Dr. Zelenko has switched from recommending HCQ with zinc, to using Ivermectin with zinc. He has also switched from recommending the antibiotic Azithromycin to using Doxycycline, also because of a slight risk. Dr. Zelenko developed his original 3 part recommendation by March 2020 after studying early work by South Korea and France. Having lost one lung to cancer he was especially motivated and in ahurry to finding something that worked for himself and his patients. How someone succeeded and in persuading President Trump to stop mentioning the essential virus stopper ZINC whenever he mentioned HCQ, I will never understand. I suspect Fauci who was eager to get his expensive ($3,000) drug Remdesivir approved for hospital use for late Covid.
