Not really. It might have changed but it used to be they didn't even allow the CHP to use radar. They had to rely on aerial tracking or pacing you on the highway.
Check back in a year and let’s see if all these dystopian wet dreams come true.
May the chains of your oppressors rest lightly upon your neck.
Maybe the thing to do is resist - and use traffic / surveillance cameras as target practice
That’s right. Go too slow and get rear ended in some situations.
since he solved the supply chain crisis i guess this is his next big thing
“Maybe the thing to do is obey the traffic laws. Just my opinion. Fifty-seven years behind the wheel, no accidents, no moving violations.”
*****
I assume you would also have no problem with government cameras in your home. If you aren’t breaking any laws, then all should be good, right?
Why not just stop when the light turns red.
the same way with our native-born citizen drivers.
Thank God you have no bearing on how I live my life.
Why not just stop when the light turns red.
+++++++
These are not stop light cameras they are talking of (although I detest those as well). These are traffic cameras that record all the vehicles, all the time. They will serve no purpose but to spy on the people.
If the cameras are for safety, then the fines go to the national government. No local entity can be allowed to profit from them.
Oh you local entities don’t like that?
But, but I thought they were about safety???
so follow the speed laws and there will be no problem.
Same here: no ticket in over 35 years.
I thought cops were all racists and only arrest minorities.
Just wait until these cameras start to ticket too many minorities. Then they will ONLY be places in 100% white neighborhoods.
I wonder how much they’ve budgeted to replace the cameras that get shot out. This isn’t the UK.
“Never said that, Just have never had a moving violation, a parking ticket or an accident.”
Well, when they plaster speed cameras all over the place, you WILL have your nice clean record blemished, because you WILL be ticketed for even 1 MPH over the limit.
Speed cameras are for raising revenue, not “safety”. Also, speed limits are rarely set for “safety”. They are set arbitrarily, often by local ordinance or state laws that set speeds by political boundaries, not road conditions.
It’s all about the revenue.
But hey, you know, if you have nothing to hide, and all that.
Many, yes.
If you really think this is about people running red lights, you’re irredeemably naive. What does that even mean? - “why not just stop when the light turns red”
A sharp increase from 2020? You mean from the midst of the scam-demic? I imagine everything has shown a sharp increase since then. Obviously using bogus statistics to justify their tyrannical dreams. Go ahead. Practice targets are where you find them...
Bull Anzio’s, You are just another control-freak Karen.
The smug is strong in this one....
