For about 3 years in the 1970s....I listened to Neil Young tunes all the time. Don’t think I’ve heard a single one since 2000. Doubt if anyone under the age of 30 would even know the guy.

Correct. MOst of the Rock-theme youtube channels said that and one of them who went to the Rock and Roll hall of fame claimed that everyone , except the waiters, who were backstage were . pushing 70.
