Across the street from Safeway, a national chain, is local store that has grass-fed beef from Oregon ranchers. Hamburger was &7 per pound last week. Will go back tomorrow and ask for stew beef there.
Went into a Publix looking for steaks to grill. Found a package of two prime ribs about one inch thick for just under $100. The problem was not the pricing, the problem was all the cheaper cuts had already been purchased leaving only the expensive prime cuts. Needless to say, we did not have steak that night.
