Those things are no longer important. Now the children must be indoctrinated and manipulated and molded into something that isn’t natural or moral.
Molding children was the central strategy of the Soviets to create the “New Soviet Man.” This is identical to the Soviet actions early in the USSR.
It’s easier for the state to keep kids as illiterate as possible so their world views are based on feelings, bumper sticker slogans and propaganda the tyrants feed to them.
