Real sign of support and strength by evacuating the embassy. MSM must figure we are idiots to not see the irony in that move.
They should have evacuated dependents sooner. No doubt Blinken was worried about sending the wrong message to the Ukrainians. My experience with two evacuations, Iran and Saudi Arabia, taught me that our dependents should leave sooner rather than later. Waiting too long can result in not having commercial air available, forcing the use of military charters or assets. American civilians in the private sector must also be accommodated. Amcits in Ukraine will be affected by USG official announcement of the evacuation.
