You pose an interesting question. He could only legally buy a firearm if he were a legal resident. Was he? Inquiring minds want to know.

We know that authorities were relentless in tracking down the young man who bought Kyle Rittenhouse’s rifle, so no doubt they’ll track down whoever provided Malik’s weapon. /s

Why was the FBI’s SWAT team involved? I’m sure Texas has plenty of SWAT teams available in the area. Does the FBI get involved in all hostage situations? Why? What Federal law was Malik violating?

I thought the gun was an airsoft, but because the FBI sent 70 people from DC to Dallas with just a couple hours notice, I think the gun came from someone on the FBI payroll.
