Seeing the Stones in Muenchen in ‘82 with a headcount of around 90k from nosebleed seats makes the 55k number very reasonable.

Was that by chance at the Olympic Stadium with Peter Tosh and the J Geils Band? If so I was there too, on the lawn, was my second Stones concert of 5! Had a heckuva night afterwards…..

Yep. Must’ve been hot down there - it WAS a warm, sunny day - as I watched Mick Jagger hosing y’all down with a firehose to cool you down.

Even from where we were seated, the sound was awesome.

Was there, too. Front row. Have great photos from it. J Geils also put on an amazing show. I don't even remember Peter Tosh, although I do recall that Keef was all into reggae back then.
