That’s apparently more than can be said for you with the Cornell study.
And although anecdotal and not a focal species I study, I have observed on numerous occasions Bald Eagles eating carrion when other food sources such as salmon are available. Bald Eagles are opportunistic apex predators and their food sources are depending on a number of factors such as weather, availability and time of year.
Now you are in a corner and need to lie.
I did not say bald eagles do not eat carrion. I said that they prefer live food.
You also did not acknowledge the FACT that since California banned lead ammunition, they are still finding similar number of birds dead, indicating they went after the wrong source of lead.
Why did they go after ammunition? Because of a built-in bias against firearms and hunters.
But at least hunters hit their target while scientists keep missing the source.
