Norman Greenbaum’s “Spirit in the Sky.” For a Christian hymn, the theology is rather unique. ("Never been a sinner, never sinned, I have a friend in Jesus.")

For a Christian hymn, the theology is rather unique. ("Never been a sinner, never sinned, I have a friend in Jesus.")I suppose the "never been a sinner, never sinned" could be referring to Jesus. Perhaps? Personally, I don't think so and that's why I would have a hard time buying this as a Christian song. I still enjoy the song, though.
