You know that Putin is still pissed over that battle we won, the first time US and Russian forces engaged in direct combat.
Well, they were Russian mercenaries but we completely went 300 the movie on them.
That was utterly depraved on our part. They were not attacking a US position. We had a few people embedded in the area with the damned Syrian rebels, ISIS, FSA or whatever they were called that week.
We unleashed a hellish air attack on them and killed 300 guys who were there to stop ISIS and help the Syrian government put down the rebels. This was a Mattis and Dunford operation.
That was nothing America should be proud of.
