March for Death?
We have the Walk for Life in San Francisco in two weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if the pro-aborts show up to counter protest. In the early years in the mid-2000s, the counter protestors were often a loud, noisy, aggressive presence. And their antics were documented here at FR. It’s probably been a dozen or more years, though, since I’ve seen the pro-aborts turn up in any numbers that I’d consider significant. (Though the local news media pretends otherwise, often reporting as if 50,000 pro-lifers and maybe 50 pro-aborts were roughly equivalent demonstrators for their respective sides).
Hundred’s? It was more than 1000

It was the March for Life in SF that introduced me to Free Republic in the early 2000s. I was a Democratic pro-life activist at the time. I read every article I could find about how the March went and discovered how much press coverage differed from friends’ accounts who had been there. Also, how few papers sent reporters and how many just bought the story from AP or the Mercury News. Finally I spotted actual photos of the event, with eye witness accounts, on this strange little website called Free Republic. The rest, as they say, is history.
how are these people coordinating?!
