Lots of people in our area are getting omicron despite their vaccines, including hospital workers. Many of them express great relief that they are vaxxed or it would have been much more severe.
I know dozens unvaxxed and vaxxed who have gotten omicron (mild covid) the past few weeks and for all but one of them it has been barely more than a cold. The one who is worse it is more like the flu, but she is recovering and she has major risk factors.
