Rep. Tom McClintock, the outspoken conservative who could play a major role in immigration policy next year if Republicans control the House, will seek reelection in a newly drawn congressional district that largely covers territory south of his current seat. The new 5th Congressional District captures parts of Modesto and Fresno along with the western Sierra Nevada, combining parts of districts currently held by McClintock and former Rep. Devin Nunes. It is staunchly Republican: Voters there would have backed former President Donald Trump in 2020 with a 12% margin of victory, according to several election-tracking organizations, a strong signal they’re likely to favor a Republican candidate in the 2022 midterms.
Nunes, a Republican, resigned from his seat this week to lead former President Donald Trump’s social media venture. On the way out, he backed McClintock for the 5th Congressional District. “Tom has been a champion for the conservative movement for many years,” Nunes told the Washington Examiner last week. “He’s popular enough to run successfully anywhere in California, but I hope he continues to represent part of the San Joaquin Valley. He has my complete support.”

Sounds like good news to me
NFW. He voted for the steal and is nothing more than a seat warmer. He, like Nunes, talks a good game but actually accomplishes nothing.
“if Republicans control the House”
Don’t worry, they’ll screw that up
“Rep. Tom McClintock, the outspoken conservative...”
We all know he’s a RINO*.
*actually I don’t know, but I’m here to troll people and depress turnout by saying every Republican is a RINO.
“Don’t worry, they’ll screw that up.”
That is the most likely scenario.
However, shouldn’t we give them a chance?
Or our we going to be sitting back with an “AOC type” as Speaker of the House in the future.

He'd have go onto bigger things, but was held back by Arnold Schwarzenegger, who wouldn't extend coattails to McClintock when he ran for Lt. Governor.
McClintock went into Congress instead, and has been there ever since.

J6 proved it! Damn RINOS!
It worked
I won’t vote in that race
I know Tom personally and he is NOT a RINO.
*actually I don’t know, but I’m here to troll people and depress turnout by saying every Republican is a RINO.
In that regard, as I understand it, at least 170 unvaxxed members of the SD National Guard are about to get the vax boot because a certain Governor is NOT going to bat for them.
Throw them all out. Anyone wantingi to get back into the swamp is only there to enrich himself. Find out his worth before he ran until now and that will tell you everything you need to know about the man.
They have a chance.
They can get back on the Trump Train, follow his lead, dump the traitors, and get back in the fight instead of being part of the Steal.
Or they can end up being kicked to the curb in a violent, foreign America run by enemy aliens.
“I know Tom personally and he is NOT a RINO.”
Long ago I went to a small event with him...and yep, he was no RINO then either. I figured with my posting that I’d help people here recognize when they’re being played by a relatively small number of trolls.
“It worked. I won’t vote in that race.”
THANK GOD!!!! Far better to have a Communist win than a Republican who is only 99% conservative. Only when we PURGE these RINOs* will the GOP be worth voting for (although I’m not sure they’ll be on the ballot in the gulags - but we’ll deal with that when the time comes).
*if a given Republican doesn’t agree with me on 100% of the issues, he is a RINO. 99% simply doesn’t cut it...makes him no better than a Democrat.
Celebrity net worth websites estimate McClintock's net worth today being between $100k - $1M, a pretty low tier. Anyone who has been consistently employed with a 401(k) will fall into that range.
He entered Congress in 2009, so by your definition, he sucks at it.

Some Republican prefer purity to power. Rats prefer power, they’ll argue about purity later. And thats why they win !
Devon is about to cash in as the CEO of a major social media company. Good for Devon.
Tom shoulda been guvner and was well on his way until Ahnold turned it into a Hollyweird popularity contest.
