That is NOT true and is patently false as the 90%+ infected very quickly remain either asymptomatic or have only mild illness, demonstrating a rapid and working antibody response with the majority of folks.
I don’t know about 90% but it varies between individuals. And there’s no way to tell who is going to have mild symptoms and who is going to end up on life support or die. A lot of young healthy people who would have fared well against the seasonal flu have died from Covid.
